My name is Meta Mesdag, and I grew up near Portland, Oregon. My husband grew up in Juneau, and he and I met at college at Oregon State University. For the first few years of our marriage, we lived in Oregon, where our two sons were born, and in 2012 we moved to Juneau, where our daughter was born. After running Catchfly Photography, my portrait photography business, for a number of years in Oregon and Juneau, I decided that I wanted to try something new, so I started Salty Lady Seafood Co. I hope to make this a business I can share with my family. A business to teach the kids about how to work, where their food comes from, and something that they can feel ownership of, too.
